Just discovered there will be a new midi app for Ipads and Iphones coming soon called “Midipad”. I’ve been playing around with Dot Da Genius’ ipad and its pretty cool but I think its only worth it if you get the 3g version so you have access to wireless internet which you have to pay for monthly =/
Here’s the studio view

The midipad app is said to be able to communicate directly through network-MIDI-protocol. All you’d have to do is “plug-and-play” through Apple Bonjour wirelessly which hasn’t been done with any iphone software yet and you wouldn’t have to sit at your computer all wired up because it can connect to your PC or Mac through Wifi! Supposedly if your an artist you can control sub-mixes of your virtual keyboard-rig, activate setups and change parameters of the virtual instruments and hardware-instruments all in real time while being on stage… this all sounds too good to be true… there’s no said launch date but hopefully this is not all a hoax!
